Students and staff at Hagley Catholic High School are once again celebrating an outstanding set of A-level results this summer.

Y13 students, collecting their results on Thursday 16 August, have every reason to congratulate themselves on their hard work and commitment to their studies.

The school is immensely proud of the achievements of all of its students with almost half of the students achieving A*-B grades in their three academic A Level subjects. These fantastic results mean that almost all students will be able to progress to their chosen university or apprenticeship pathway.

The top performers include:

Sean Mullins, who gained 2 A* and 2 A grades.  Sean will be taking up a place at Birmingham University where he will study Electrical and Railway Engineering.

Philip Sadler who achieved 2A*'s, 2A’s and a B is heading to Oxford University to read English Literature.

Molly Pollard who gained an A* and 3 A’s will be reading Biomedical Science at Birmingham University.

Sasha Lamasz who achieved 2A*s, an A and a B and is taking up a place at Manchester University to study Theological Studies.

Ciara Haslam, having gained an A*, 2 A’s and B, will travel to Sheffield University to study English Literature.

Chloe Riley will be pursuing a tennis scholarship in the United States having achieved an A*, 2 A’s and a B.

Principal, Suzanne Horan, said, “I am absolutely thrilled for all of our students. These results reflect their hard work and dedication throughout the last two years.  I am sure that they would agree, however, that they could not have achieved such success without the unrelenting support and encouragement from their families and the school. It has been a pleasure to see students and staff working together to produce such tremendous achievement. We are both delighted and proud to see so many students securing places at university or on prestigious apprenticeships and we wish our wonderful students well as they embark upon the next stage of their journey.”

Vice Principal and Director of Sixth Form, Kesner Morris, said, “We are really proud of everything our students have achieved. What is most impressive is the work ethic and ambition the students have demonstrated to achieve such excellence. I wish them every success in what promises to be a very bright and promising future”.
